This
picture-book was written to educate Travis', teachers, members of the school board, parents of
children in Travis' class, daycare operators, and most importantly...Travis' peers.
This 31-page book contains a 2-page explanation of Autism and how it affects children. The rest of the book is where the learning for the children begins. The picture-book format contains short paragraphs corresponding to the picture above the text. This way the readers can associate the written material with an actual picture of Travis and his actions. The book is bound using a durable comb-binding procedure that will allow readers to flip through the pages without worrying about destroying the binding found on typical children's books. We strongly recommend this book for anyone having a difficult time educating the layperson on autism and how it effects a child's behavior and learning abilities. The book, " Who Is Travis?", was written by Scott & Gail Selby, parents of Travis Selby. Travis is an 8-year old, blonde hair, blue eyed boy with Autism.
